The students in 6th grade at Talmud Torah Otzar Yerushalayim are in the midst of preparations for the Bar Mitzvah celebration this year. The class theme and decoration is, of course, on the topic of “Bar Mitzvah.” Using worksheets, the students are learning the halachot relevant to becoming a Bar Mitzvah – zimun, minyan, tefillin, Kaddish, etc. They can’t wait for the big celebration of this important milestone.

Camp Lilach at Maoz Yerushalayim – Values and Experience

Winter camp 5778 at Maoz Yerushalayim was a great success! The camp’s name, Lilach, reflects the value of considering the needs of others (li-for me, lach – for you). As part of the activities, girls viewed a presentation about Rav Shteinmen zt”l and his incredible consideration for others. The girls also prepared a bag of treats for one another in preparation for a trip, putting these values into action.
