Snoezelen Room

What?

The Snoezelen room helps children receive sensory stimulation that they desperately need to calm down or to awaken their senses. The Snoezelen room is often used by teachers and therapists as an instant means to relax an overactive or agitated student.

The room contains multisensory equipment such as: an optic fibers drape, an interactive bubble stand, colored spotlight projector, a fiber optics ball, flash ball, electric outlet and switch system to control the devices.

Who?

The current programs benefitting from Snoezelen are: Ma'on Tzur, Ganei Eshkol, Shlabim, Maoz Yerushalayim and the boys school of Beit Metzudot.

Where?

Currently there is a Snoezelen room in Ma'oz Yerushalayim in Ramot and in the Beit Metzudot boys school. There will be another two additional Snoezelen rooms up and running in the next two years. One in the new Beit Metzudot building in Ramat Shlomo which is currently being constructed and one in the Ashira (Ma'as Bnot Women's Vocational Program) in Romema.
